try Linseed Standoil I like to use it alot on my paintings!!!

Glitter, and sand give it a good texture.

Pumice, sand, styrofoam beads (about the size of BB's), cut up pieces of raffia, ground-up uncooked rice, glitter, confetti, or even tissue paper.

I like glitter. You can also add brushed dog fur or your own hair.
