We've had it for about a year.

Our main one is about one year old, and our second one is about five years old.
-
Around 3 years...and it was dirt cheap! :)
-
At least 12 years old. Still works great, just can't read the numbers very well on the timer anymore.
-
Don't know really. My husband had it when we got married and that was 9 years ago.
-
We have one that is 20+ years old. It still cooks food, but when I moved in I was afraid it was spewing microwaves all over my children so it is in storage now and our current one is about 3 years old.
-
Have no idea. Its a hand-me-down but it works so I dont care.
-
Over 20 years. The oldest microwave I ever saw was still in use in the late 1990's, and may still be, was one from 1965! The owners said that it cost around $1500 at the time of purchase. Almost a prototype.
-
Pretty old. It was my parents then I moved it to my apartment and the turn table doesn't spin. Its a real pain. I'm just too lazy and cheep to go buy a new one. It still works...just not well.
-
It was noisy
-
Almost 2 years old. Since the house is new and everything inside is new, all appliances are about the same age as the time we've been inside living here.
-

-
3 weeks old. My old 15 year old one dies about a month ago.

I don't know. I inherited it from my brother in law. I would estimate it at 7 years.

Built in 1982, makes it twenty-six and it still works fine.

I just found a picture of my mom dated 1978 and she's standing next to the microwave we still use, which would make it 30+ years old. I like this microwave a lot better than most of the modern ones. I hope it works another 30+ years. It's a Kenmore and kind of large.

Kenmore is a good brand to have. Mine was second hand an lasted 11 years.

My GE profile is 5 years old. Microwaves usually last anywhere between 3 to 8 years depending on which model you have purchased. I do recommend the in-store replacement warranty. It is cheap and you never know what might happen between it being made and delivered to the store you purchase it from.
-
Don't have one and never had!
-
our microwave is 10 years old omg. its an amana model. its still usable because its a commercial grade oven. should be going strong for another 5 more years -hopefully
-
My microwave is at least 20 years old. It is a sharp carousel II. I was wondering if I should junk it just because of its age, but it works fine, and everything I have read on the web so far indicates there should be no danger in continuing to use it? Does anyone disagree?

There is no danger just because of age, unless the glass is cracked or the door does not close fully.
-
-
It is 25 years old - its a Kenmore. I was just wondering recently if it is still safe to use. It works fine and its a really large capacity - you can't find them this big anymore.
-
2 years old, my other is about 5 months.
-
About 3 1/2 years old
-

-
i buy a new one every year, so less than a year old would be the truth

That seems very wasteful. I hope the used ovens are donated for a good purpose.

Just got a new one last year. Really nice. Has "inverter" technology (wow, so nice...) Price was great. Very reliable brand. Completely happy with it.
-
About 3 years. I used to get them at Goodwill and one lasted me 12 years. I think I paid 10 bucks for it. Then I had to move and I had to toss it to make space What a Shame.
