yes most of the time I go out alone.
-
Now and then. I usually get it to go when its just me, and walk back to my place as I eat. Unless of course it's really cold outside
-
I have. I've also gone out to the bar alone. No biggie.
-
very often, because i like to be calm when eating, espeacialy when drinking.
-
I eat alone often--especially when I'm running a lot of errands. I can't resist stopping at a fast food place for a burger and a cup of coffee.
-
Yes, very often and especially when my wife is not with me. Occasionally when she visits our children overseas and I do not go with her, I would often go out for meals alone. Therefore going out to eat alone is a common enough practice in my country.
-
Hell no, I couldnt do it, that would just be weird. I mean I have gone to a fast food place by myself b4, but never a sit-down restaurant. Thats just weird.
-
of course. i need to have that alone time. i feel bad for people that can't go out and do things by themselves.
-
Sure. It's nice sometimes to just be with yourself.
-
Yes, but only when my wife and I are apart, like when I'm on a business trip or something. I like being with her, but I also really enjoy being alone at times.
-
No, and I'm surprised that I've never done this. Maybe I should. I have walked past a cafe, and gone in for a sandwich and a drink, but that's different isn't it. I think I'll book myself a table for one in my favourite restaurant and see what the experience is like.
-
Yes I do this often and by choice, sometimes when you are running around that ten fifth-teen minutes is the only peace you can get.
-
Yeah, I bring a book with me or something.
-
Hundreds of times.
-
Yep. It's no big deal. A man gets hungry. He likes to eat. Joe Ohio likes to eat alone. See James Lilek's "Joe Ohio" stories on the Internet. It's like film noir or Mickey Spillane.
-
Quite a few times. BUT when I do, I ALWAYS look for another persn who is also dining alone. I strike up a conversation. Once in a while we have coffee and dessert together. On two occasions the lady and I went out for the rest of the evening. There are two things in this world I HATE to do: Cook for myself. Eat by myself. Thanks for asking your Q! Yeah, its nice to take yourself out sometimes, my man was at work though and I pampered myself, the baby was there but she can't even eat solid food yet
-
Yeah a couple of times. when i travelled the states alone i did it all the time. You still meet people anyways :)
-
Well, sort of. There were a couple of situations. Firstly when I was travelling alone on the train. I had to change trains at a station but there was a long wait in between. I ate alone at the station cafe. Also, when my eldest son was in hospital for many weeks. My husband had to return to work after being off for the first week but I stayed with our son all day so I ate my evening meals alone in the hospital canteen.

Does it matter? People joke with their friends while u r restricted to ur own table makes u feel like an oddball? Don't think too much into it man. Pls. We go there to eat not to socialize.
-
no i cant say i have.
-
Yes..and even through I have been married for 36 years I enjoy my little quiet time once in a while.
-
Many, many times. I look around and ask the hostess for a specific table....not in the middle of the room, if possible. I like my back to the wall where I can people watch!! When travelling and staying in hotels alone, if I go to the bar I sit at the bar and talk to the bartender. Feels safer that way....
-
Yes. I did that quite often, when I was in college. I saw nothing wrong with it. I was able to get more done, that way. And I wouldn't be bothered with chitchat.
-
Yes - especially when travelling, as I often travel alone. I must admit though that often people stare at me, eating alone - and sometimes I think they feel a little sorry for me. But, you do get more attentive service from the waiting staff.
-
I used to a lot when I lived in the heart of Tempe, Arizona. Most of my favorite restuarants were just blocks away and I walked to them. I loved eating out alone over there, very much so. But I haven't ate out alone in a couple of years now. But I will again soon, I'm sure.
-
Yes I felt like everyone was looking at me the entire time but i was depressed and i just wanted some good eats!
-

All the time....I also go to movies and bars by myself. All my friends are married and when I just wanna go out, I just go if they can't. I easily make friends and usually I'm not alone for long

-
all the time and to the movies and whatever, I like my company! doesnt bother me like it does some people
-
I cannot do this unless I sit at a bar that serves food. The "table for one" is notoriously uncomfortable for a reason.
-
Is there any other way?
-
Yes, it was lonely,
-
No, I've always gone with someone.

-
Nope
-

-
Yes, often, mainly at lunch times. It's nice sometimes to break up a busy day with a good, relaxed meal.
-
all the time
-
Frequently. I am a "regular" in several good restaurants and they know that I want a table for one in the most quiet corner. One of these restaurants even has an "Aspie" table behind a potted tree. +3
-
All the time.
-

Not lately, but I used to drive a Tractor Trailer. If you don't get used to eating alone, you don't eat.
