No, Stricter laws stifle the people. This is seen in many places including the Bible. The stricter laws of the Old Testament had to be replaced with the Royal Law of Love in the New Testament Matthew 22:36-40.

Maybe it depends on how you define "better." I tend to think that laws that are strict solely for the purpose of being strict tend to generally make the world more frustrating.

I don't think so. All we have to do is look back thru our history to see that regardless of how strict the laws become, there are always criminals ready to break them. 1/3/24
