Same thing with Biden - no one wants him, but everyone believes there are no other viable options for some reason. You know, Washington didn't really want to be president, but he was a strong leader and everyone wanted him to do it. Lincoln won solely based on issues that people had strong feelings about. Why do people want Trump or Biden? Honestly, it's about the issues that the opposing party is about, and not wanting progress made toward those goals. It's really the most boring sort of politics, and I was really hoping against my logical predictions that 2024 was going to bring about some sort of change... but, honestly, either way, our nation is doomed.
