Yes. I'm a garage sale fanatic.
-
I have in the past. I don't go to garage sales much anymore. I probably should HAVE a garage sale and get rid of some JUNK.
-
i don't usually get to stop but now that i live in a neighborhood maybe i will. i know there are usually good finds.
-
Living in the city, there aren't many garage/yard sales. But used to love going when I was in the Burbs, There is always something that catches my eye!
-
All the time. Great place to find some good bargains. Love the books, especially.
-
Yes - I have found alot of collectables and meet some interesting people
-
Yes I love them, although it has been a couple of years since i have been due to circumstances. In the UK we call them Boot Sales and some of them have a couple of hundred people selling.
-
Love em!!!
-
Yes.
-
Yes. We bought a nightstand, a lamp, and some kitchen canisters for sugar, flour, etc. that had never been used.
-
I scored Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells and Bob Dylan's Desire on vinyl along with a fork.
-
Sure. Over the years I've bought some speakers, books, a kitchen rug, a bookcase, a Mets baseball cap, a couple of milk crates, pruning shears, material scraps for quilting among other things. And then there's that glorified garage sale called ebay!
-
Yes, some of the best items were a fish tank, LP's, baseball cards & various collectables. I haven't been to a tag sale in over a year, too many of them just have junk now.
-
I have bought many things at a garage sale, I like to buy designer clothes there, dishes, music, books, towels the list goes on, I love a good bargain!!!
-
Yes a snow ball its pretty cool cause its a green hand holding the ball and inside has a mummy and instead of regular shaped sparkles it has black bats i love that snow ball.
-
Yeah. When I was six I bought a little action figure. it was cool.
-
I buy stuff off ebay, is that not just the posh man's garage sale?
-
I'm just an old yard sale junkie. Yes, I find many great deals for resale.
-
Is this a joke? I love garage sales!!! I bought a vase for $2 and sold it on ebay for $250. I bought a coach purse for $1 sold it for $150. :) oh yea, I'm proud!! haha:)

When mom was alive we started doing the sales around the middle of May until the middle of September. We'd get the newspaper and mark all the classified ads for sales that sounded good and mark out a route and spend all Saturday cruising tag sales. That gradually stopped as she got older and lost her health. Now I really only stop at one if I happen to be passing by. There doesn't seem to be as many as there used to be and the ones nowadays want almost retail prices and the stuff is basically junk. The same goes for rummage sales. We used to find tons of good-quality items at church rummage and white elephant sales. Now it looks like people are donating what I'd be ashamed to put out for the garbage man. There just isn't the same quantity or quality as 10 or 15 years ago.

Best place to buy almost anything.
-
Since I usually get up too late, the good deals are usually gone. Mostly they tend to be garbage sales but I have found a few gems such as a two set dictionary with complete etymology and quaint disused words even at that time which was published before WWII. I got if for a dollar. That's a heck of a deal.
-
I'm hoping they do, since I plan on having one in a few weeks! I often find books and the odd knick knack when i go to them
-
I do sometimes. :)
-
Not too often... in fact maybe 3 things in 42 years... and that was from a neighbor for the kids... old toys.
-
I go to a massive "boot" (uk) sale every week and find excellent bargains :o)
-
yes, I love going when it is a neighborhood sale.
-
Last weekend,I bought Neil Diamond box set... In my lifetime $10
-
Yes and lol
-
Sure, if I like it and want it.
-
I usually go after the books. Been a while since I've been to one.
-
I used to frequent yard sales and garage sales back in California. I'm more of a drive-by shopper. If it's big enough to grab my attention, I'll stop. I look for old furniture, windows, and other deco items to paint for resale.
-
Yes. Some good bargins and some unnecessary junk.
-
Cooking implements, pots, pans, flower pots,
-
plants if they have any, i try to resist buying anything else because i always end up wondering why i bought things when i get them home, and then i take them to a charity shop lol
-
Rarely, but I expect that when I am living on my own and have to support myself I shall have need of more second hand stuff and also things that my parents always bought and I used, like pots and pans.
-
Sometimes. I usually just got to check out other peoples stuff & not buy.
-
Love, love, love 'em I'll buy anything from books to antiques, to toys, to trinkets, to jewelery, to..... Yes, yes , YES
-
I go to yard sales, garage sales, and local auctions. Many of the people who have yard sales and garage sales have just bought the stuff at local auctions and are trying to make a profit. Now, many people try to sell the stuff that they bought at all three, on eBay. I try to buy at local auctions only.
-
Garage sales mostly dissappoint unless they are advertised as having something I would be interested in, such as jewelry or art or antiques I usually don't bother. Gas prices are too high now days... Flea markets are a much better way of controlling distance vs finding something actually worth the effort it took to get there.
-
I do when I feel like it,not lately though.
-
Yes, mostly dollhouse & miniatures stuff, preferably vintage and also some pottery. There are so many good finds out there for my hobby!
-
yes..I do I love my waffle maker I got for just 60 cents . Having been using it since then.
-
Always worth a look . You never know what you find. A lady in the US bought an antique table for $25 and it turned out to be one of only 2 or three remaining from the late 1700s and was worth half a million dollars. Saw it on American Antiques Roadshow. On British ANtiques Roadshow, a guy bought a ceramic loving cup for $400 because he thought it resembled a 17th c owl he had seen in a museum. It did because it came from the same time and area. IT was worth hundreds of thousands of pounds and is now on permanent loan to the museum with the owl.

I buy all kinds of stuff at garage sales and flea markets
