Why do some people automatically think you're mad at THEM if you're mad - you could be mad about the weather or a bad hair cut and they think you're mad at them - what gives?

People can be very sensitive, self conscious, unhappy, angry themselves- any number of things which could cause this reaction.

Anubis, I have noticed that sometimes these folks are just playing a harmless, attention-seeking game. They want your attention and aren't quite sure how to do it on the spur of the moment. How are you, dear one?

Sometimes people just want to make us happy, and if you seem upset they are affraid they have done something.

They were probably raised differently, just explain to them that sometimes you get mad and they don't have to take it personally;0)

I think it's their own insecurities. They always think someone is not happy with them, no matter what. Oh by the way ... if I remember correctly, you're having a birthday on 3/21! If that's correct, have a great one!!

Probably due to the tone of voice you are using when you talk to them.

Maybe they don't, they just want to make sure they didn't do anything to offend you because if they did they might want to try and make amends to set things right again.
