Friends and family report that I am totally OFF the chart. I have won a few cooking contests including the grits challenge and judge's favorite in a local chili cook-off.
-
9.9.....No body's perfect....:-}
-
10 ... being the best :)
-
I am a 8 my S/O is above a 10 at cooking. So I happily do the dishes.
-
10 for myself if I have the right ingredients. However, anyone eating the same meal with me could give me any of the ratings.
-
3.
-
I'm aiming for that 10 with everything I cook but still trying
-
6.5 Not bad, but not (usually) restaurant-quality. At least I'm honest about my skill. Some people overestimate themselves.
-
A 2 at the very highest.
-
about 6.5
-
One, I am definitley not a fan of cooking.
-
1. I have been known to set off the smoke alarm by boiling water.
-
A 10.
-
Probably a 5, I am great with the microwave and pitiful with all else.
-
I would rate myself 8.5 because cooking is my passion. I like basic home meals...meatloaf, pot roast, ham, etc and I bake cookies almost daily. YUM!
-
8-9 I love to cook and bake and I learned from the best. My mom and grandmother are both off the charts excellent cooks.
-
I would say a 6 or 7. I am able to cook fairly well, but I prefer to grill out and I admit I do use the microwave fairly often. My mother was a single parents, so she expected my brother and me to cook just like our sister did. I still can't fix anything overly complicated, but I am able to follow directions, lol.

I'm no Chef Emeril -- not the in-the-zone type intuitive cook. I can make a lot of things using the "pinch of this" method. But when it comes to fancy dishes, I turn to Google and look up a recipe. What's that make me. A 6 for fancy stuff and a 9 for fish and chicken. Overall rating = 69.

Do microwaves count as cooking?
-
... some where between a 7 and 8 ... ... but I'm also a nutritionist & a Chinese Herbologist ... ... while I make excellent soups, and fairly good various breads, I have some what weak skills at pastry, cake, & pies ...
-
7. Practice make perfect :D
-
I think I am a really good cook, however, when I watch some of these food network shows, it brings me back to reality. I'd say about 6-7. Good question
-
I woudl say a 6 or 7..maybe
-
I can honestly say an 8 or 8.5
-
pretty good...I'd say about a 10....(no ego here:))
-
Well I'm no gourmet chef...no really fancy, schmancy stuff in my kitchen. But, everyone always tells me they love my cooking and I've had no complaints, so I'd have to say oh...9.5?
-
An 11! ☺ I can cook!
-
8, i am pretty good but still have room for improvement ;0)
-
id say i was a 7 ,i think .
-
Given the right tools and ingredients, I'm a 10! Yay! +
-
I'm sooo good I can win masterchef!!!!
-
Cooking, I would say I'm an 8. Baking, I would say I'm a 20!
-
An 8. I equip myself with the right kitchen tools and equipment, and I get to know the ingredients, along with bettering my cooking techniques.
-
Since you said cook and not chef, I'll say 7.5. I worked as a cook at Hardees with a char-broiler and put out a full buffet at KFC every other day for a couple of years when I managed there. But I'm better at serving and anticipating needs, which I did for a few years at a time off and on at Waffle House and I cooked at home for my husband, son and grandson when they were living with me.
